Help Us
There are many ways that you can help support the people in Kenya:
- Money
- Resources
- Networks/Knowledge
- Time
- Volunteer
Money
There are so many deserving projects that you can donate money to!
One-off
- Money for resources
- Donations towards a particular project or goal
- Money to go towards the cost of people volunteering in Kenya
Ongoing
- Sponsor a child (good) - approx $200 / year
- Sponsor a school (better) - as much or as little as you can give a month, for at least 6 months
- Fund a HelpKenya community coordinator - as much or as little as you can give a month, for at least 12 months
Or you can suggest where you would like your money to go.
Resources
There are so many resources that are of immense value in Kenya. I am particularly looking for donations of old or cheap
- Laptops - of any age or make
- Digital cameras - preferably rechargeable not battery operated
- USB drives / flash disks - no matter how small or out of date
- Children’s books - no matter how old!
- Preschool and primary education materials – posters, books, etc
There are many other resources that are also useful, such as:
- Stationery (books, pens, pencils, etc)
- Medical supplies (bandaids, toothbrush and paste, gauze)
However most of these supplies can be purchased cheaper in Kenya than here, so if you are thinking of purchasing them, please consider donating the money instead. Your money will go further, help the local Kenyan economy and allow the groups to determine what type of resources they need most at this time.
